Kirishima Shouko

Okay, I know this is three weeks late (and that I should be doing my homework). You confused guys can have your Hideyoshi. Where do I go to sign up as a Shouko fan?

Episode 8 was pretty great and really sweet, even hitting on poignant at times. I know it’s in all likelihood only a one-episode affair. Sue me. Seeing Shouko so radiantly happy was completely enchanting. Seeing her so uncharacteristically broken and vulnerable was positively excruciating. And Yuuji tearing down hell with those two bastards was GAR. I was so fired up I could have roared him along.

We needs moar Shouko. This episode is so much better than the “desperate Eva” episode that came after it.

  1. What are you talking about: There is a major Shouko fan right here. Crazy girls = <3 in my book and Shouko wipping out a tazer will always be a win in my book. I just enjoy the nature of the relationship, though I do wish we would see more stuff like this where it evolved. Some of the jokes in Baka to Test are being overdone at this point.

Yeah, its still pretty entertaining but it doesn’t seem to be going anywhere or bringing out anything new.

    .. my friend has been calling me a masochist all day after reading this post ;_;

  3. It’s not masochism it’s Schadenfreude – Taking pleasure in the misfortune of others. Of course we wouldn’t want Shouko to actually be following us around with a tazer, but seeing her completely dominate the otherwise cool class rep who always seems so confident is hilarious. Not to mention her self esteem issues when she clearly has nothing to be ashamed of.

  4. Yandere-love from Yuenhoe… I always thought you are into Yamato Nadeshiko type :P

  5. Jason "moofang"

Kirishima isn’t Yandere. She walks around with a tazer, not a chainsaw. There is a difference :) In fact, in the light of this episode, she’s probably closer to Tsundere than Yandere.

And uh, from a quick list off the top of my head of fave girl characters – Hinagiku, Kyou, Kagami, Haruhi, Rei – nope, don’t think I quite dig Yamato Nadeshiko types :P

Yamato NADEKO, on the other hand…

The antagonist for that episode specifically the blond reminds me of asuko Takasu from ToraDora. Despite different productions if the timeline could be canon Yuuji might be responsible for death of Ryuuji’s Dad leaving a pregnant Yasuko by herself XD

  7. Jason "moofang"

That’s a disturbing thought xD Though, I prefer to think that Yuuji isn’t the type that would/could kill someone. Shouko on the other hand… ;)

  8. Haha totally agree Shouko doesn’t get nearly enough love! That episode showed such a perfect balance of her tough and soft sides. Honestly, moments like that are what made Baka to Test so memorable for me. I’ve rewatched it a few times and still find myself rooting for her every time.

  9. This was really interesting to read. I didn’t know much about Kirishima Shouko before, so it was cool to learn more about her background and story. The way you broke everything down makes it easy to understand even for someone new to the topic.

This episode truly showed why Kirishima Shouko is so loved by fans everywhere. I felt both joy and sadness while watching her story unfold. Seeing her smile and then feel broken made me care even more. When Yuuji stood up for her, I felt excited and proud.

Episode 8 stayed in my mind longer than the next one. Moments like this are why I personally love comics, because the art and emotions feel alive—you can also check out 그림체 확인 기능 to enjoy and compare different comic styles.

  11. I totally get your hype. Episode 8 really gave Shouko strong emotional depth, and it showed a softer and more vulnerable side of her that we do not often see. That balance between her happy moments and the painful scenes made the episode stand out. Yuuji stepping in like that added real impact and made the whole arc more powerful. Even if it was just one episode focus, it definitely made more fans appreciate Shouko’s character more. You are not alone in wanting more of her story.
